After you submit a request for an appointment, the Intake Form will be sent to you via email. Please ensure that you enter the correct email address. (Check your spam folder because, at times, it can end up there.) Your appointment will be confirmed when you submit your form. Please text with any questions. 914-218-6231.
I accept Cigna insurance through Wildflower. You can find a link to check your approval on the booking page, insurance page or below. It is a simple and quick process. Please enter my name (Cathleen Walker) when asked for the name of the Lactation Consultant. When you are approved I will be notified. Once you are approved, please go ahead and schedule a
Telehealth Intake Consultation
In person Consultation> schedule the next day or several days later. It must be within one week of your initial Telehealth visit. Do not schedule it on the same day as your telehealth visit
We will meet virtually first to go over your history, questions and immediate concerns. We will create a temporary care plan to get you comfortably to your in person appointment. When we meet in person, we will be able to use our time very efficiently.

If you need help breastfeeding your baby, schedule an Initial Consultation.
● If your baby has trouble taking a bottle or you are experiencing
bottle refusal, please schedule a Bottle Skills Consultation. This visit
does not include an assessment of milk supply or breastfeeding
concerns.
● If you desire a flange fitting and pump evaluation, please schedule a
Flange Fitting and Pump Consultation. This visit does not include an
assessment of your baby or a breastfeeding session.
● If you are still pregnant and desire education and a tailored plan for
the first week after birth, please schedule a Before the Birth Consultation.
Please bring:
● Your baby, ready to eat (please feed your baby about 1.5-2 hours before your visit)
for a breastfeeding consultation.
● If scheduled for bottle feeding struggles or bottle refusal, please send me a message
through the secure portal to get specific instructions for your baby and your situation
● Your diaper bag with diapers & wipes
● If you are supplementing because your baby is not latching, bring a filled bottle with
expressed breast milk or formula
● All tools you have used to assist with latching (nipple shield, SNS, etc.)
● Your breast pump and all attachments & power source
● I have a Spectra pump, several breastfeeding pillows, and regular pillows that you
can use
The visits run from 60-90 minutes, depending on the visit type. In that time, we can address
1 or 2 concerns or issues. Follow-up appointments are very helpful to continue care and
support.
You, your baby, and one supportive Adult are welcome in my office. There is no space for
more people. Please see if you can secure childcare for an older child so that you can focus
on our time together.
I routinely get vaccinated each year. I have received the Covid-19, Influenza and Pneumoccal vaccine for 2025. I will wear a mask upon request.
