Frequently Asked Questions

Welcome to the Frequently Asked Questions page! Here are some answers to commonly asked questions about my practice. Feel free to text me with any questions regarding booking at 914-218-6231.

  • Where is the Intake Form?
    After you submit a request for an appointment, the Intake Form will be sent to you via email. Please ensure that you enter the correct email address. (Check your spam folder because, at times, it can end up there.)
  • What Type of Visit Should I Schedule?
    If you need help breastfeeding your baby, schedule an Initial Consultation. ● If your baby has trouble taking a bottle or you are experiencing bottle refusal, please schedule a Bottle Skills Consultation. This visit does not include an assessment of milk supply or breastfeeding concerns. ● If you desire a flange fitting and pump evaluation, please schedule a Flange Fitting and Pump Consultation. This visit does not include an assessment of your baby or a breastfeeding session. ● If you are still pregnant and desire education and a tailored plan for the first week after birth, please schedule a Prenatal Consultation.
  • What do I need to bring with me to your office?
    Please bring: ● Your baby, ready to eat (please feed your baby about 1.5-2 hours before your visit) for a breastfeeding consultation. ● If scheduled for bottle feeding struggles or bottle refusal, please send me a message through the secure portal to get specific instructions for your baby and your situation ● Your diaper bag with diapers & wipes ● If you are supplementing because your baby is not latching, bring a filled bottle with expressed breast milk or formula ● All tools you have used to assist with latching (nipple shield, SNS, etc.) ● Your breast pump and all attachments & power source ● I have a Spectra pump, several breastfeeding pillows, and regular pillows that you can use
  • How long are the visits?
    The visits run from 60-90 minutes, depending on the visit type. In that time, we can address 1 or 2 concerns or issues. Follow-up appointments are very helpful to continue care and support.
  • Who can come to the visit?
    You, your baby, and one supportive Adult are welcome in my office. There is no space for more people. Please see if you can secure childcare for an older child so that you can focus on our time together.
